Yup, this is the paper Shi failed to cite when she re-introduced RaBtCoV/4991 to the world as RaTG13, nearest known relative of SARS-2, in a paper published 2/3/20. Neither paper mentions the backstory to 4991's discovery -- an outbreak of fatal pneumonia
@KlausRiede Now they think it is the name of the location of abandoned mineshaft in Yunnan where it was found, Tongguanzhen (TG?) https://t.co/W6pgLZJg9G
The article which first referenced RaTG13, herein referred to as RaBtCoV/499, supposedly nearest known relative to the Wuhan virus: Coexistence of multiple coronaviruses in several bat colonies in an abandoned mineshaft (Ge et al, VIROLOGICA SINICA 2016)
@KhaledATalaat @PeterDaszak In the online version of the study "Coexistence of multiple coronaviruses in several bat colonies in an abandoned mineshaft" BtCoV/4991 isn't even mentioned (anymore?). Only in the pdf. Funny, isn't it? https://t.co/2aDqnmhfR9
@Daoyu15 You find RaBtCoV/4991 here: https://t.co/6s7lhpP4mC
@paleovanguard @relluminati1 @R_H_Ebright @Harvard2H @BillyBostickson Found several references to mining companies in Tongguanzhen, so it looks plausible. RaTG13 was first reported as RaBtCoV/4991 in a paper whose authors "conducted a surveillance of coron
