A recent study looked at whether "mindfulness" meditation is better than unguided meditation at improving things like critical thinking, executive function, etc. They found meditation improved most things, but no added benefit from mindfulness meditation.
Nothing improves mindfulness more than boxing. Drop your guard and you have instant negative reinforcement. Diet. Teaches you mindfulness, strategy, and fitness. And weight loss is a benefit as well.
