The impact of one-stage polypectomy (removal of all neoplasms during diagnostic colonoscopy) versus two-stage polypectomy (removal of all neoplasms during therapeutic colonoscopy following the initial diagnostic colonoscopy) on the development of metachronous neoplasms is poorly understood.
