@ErinMayovsky @fox13seattle @BMacTV @WxVillegas @AlyanaFox13 @JamieFOX13 Read the report explains how world oceans temperature continue to climb adding increasing levels of moisture to the atmphere. https://t.co/bVTOU9QOlj
@j_mcelroy Justin as Johanna Wagstaff has mentioned these events will get worse in the future. This report pretty much sums up the ever increasing Ocean temperatures that are sending more moisture in the Atmosphere causing more flooding and more drought. h

@Tarnjitkparmar @CityNewsVAN I remember a Ontario MLA sihk said that dropping carbon emissions was critical if we are to avert climate disasters. I think he was talking about global warming of the worlds oceans like this example. https://t.co/bVTOU9QOlj
@RobFai Bob, do you have a history record how many times the valley has flooded? BTW, all this moisture came from the South Pacific in two very large Atmospheric rivers. https://t.co/bVTOU9QOlj

For, one, 93% of excess heat goes into the oceans and now the increase is on the order of 1x10^22 joules per year. This heat increase means more moisture available for rain>more intense rainstorms. https://t.co/l6uT2Nk4el

Oceans absorb 93% of the extra heat that’s getting trapped on Earth due to the greenhouse gas human activity has sent into the atmosphere. Cover article: 2018 was the warmest year on record for the oceans. https://t.co/wSXuDHtzRg https://t.co/h94vScC0Mv
More than 90 % of the excess heat caused by climate change is stored in the oceans. 2018 had the largest ocean heat content values on record measured over the upper 700 meters https://t.co/wSmDRGJKXF , with 2017 ranking second and 2015 third https://t.co/

https://t.co/fesPY7mJcx This study by Trenberth with 7 Chinese scientists shows a graph of Ocean Heat content with a linear increase after 1997. If you take just the 2004-2019 Argo float temperature era, you get total increase of 0.04C in 15 yrs which is 1
The reason from only 2005 is because that is when the Argo float data came on stream. How do Argo floats work? They bob on the ocean and transmit their data to satellites after they have dived to certain precalibrated depths to measure the temperature.
https://t.co/fesPY7mJcx Trenberth has put out a paper with 7 Chinese scientists using data from a number of sources on ocean heat 0-2000 metres. This is the fakest looking graph I have ever seen. But I will comment on it only since 2005. https://t.co/eNzgh
