NK細胞によるADCC(antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity)には、CD16(Fc receptor)の発現が必要。一方、NK細胞に発現するADAM17(A disintegrin and metalloproteinase-17)はCD16を切断する。ADAM17活性の中和抗体は、ADCC時に産生されるIFN-γ産生能を亢進させることが分かった(MYG)。
