@SpencerJayCase @JustinCaouette I suspect lots of 'fallacies' are like this. I found this paper really fun: https://t.co/u93aytbQRx
@Utopia_Rabbit +1 ! Unpopular opinion: There is no such thing as argument fallacies. https://t.co/F7Dzr5BLTq Even more unpopular (?), teaching them is a bad idea. See page 10 "Teaching fallacies is not the answer" for the
Hier mijn academische paper daarover. Moeilijk hé, wetenschappeljke artike
@ErsatzDoctor Isn’t that true of most / all classic fallacies? https://t.co/o3tiGJnQ2X
@bramcla @Gingivitisz Geweldige site inderdaad. ;-) https://t.co/47dIrKJgGq
It's published in a peer-reviewed journal, so it MUST be true. 😉 #fallacies Thanks for your interest! See also my popular piece about our paper in Skeptical Inquirer: 'The Fallacy Fork: Why It’s Time to Get Rid of Fallacy Theory' https://t.co/yiZHF8VPSz
@JustinCaouette I teach the fallacies but then I also have students read and reflect on @mboudry, @mpigliucci, and fpaglieri’s paper critiquing “Fallacy Theory.” https://t.co/e8DX5jDMbm
Carl Sagan estava errado?
