@SteveStuWill It's a great video, but a very controversial study. Crucially, generalization to new stimulus displays is not tested for, so it can be explained by (very impressive) long term memory, instead of working memory. Also, humans do outperform apes

I got interested & dug a bit deeper. Looks like this might all be wrong. The chimps outperform the humans because the former received training for this task & the latter did not. Given same level of training, the human is as good as the chimp. See
