Makes me think of this truly prescient paper by @LKrauss1 and Michael Turner, in which they argued for the need for a cosmological constant three years before the discovery of Dark Energy. This paper had a huge impact on me as a graduate student. https://

It is worth noting that Turner and @LKrauss1 wrote a truly prescient paper in 1995 arguing, based on indirect evidence, that we should be taking a cosmological constant more seriously. They were right. https://t.co/pmQWZWtyzI

@REasther @nafshordi I have long been amazed in retrospect how prescient that paper was, as well as this one. Few people were taking LCDM seriously at the time. https://t.co/pmQWZWtyzI https://t.co/t4LGvkAVfg

@BradleyKavanagh @ntomasse @lellifede @TimonEmken @JGdeSwart Others stuck to their guns, in particular this truly visionary paper by @LKrauss1 and Michael Turner arguing in favor of a cosmological constant in (!) 1995: https://t.co/pmQWZWtyzI
